Sentinel Privacy Policy

How Truley Sentinel collects, uses, stores, and protects your data.

Last updated: 2026-08-04

This Privacy Policy explains how Truley Sentinel (the "Service") collects, uses, stores, and protects your data. By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Data We Collect

The Service uses an edge-computing architecture: all meeting-related data is stored locally on the Edge Device you connect to — our cloud never stores or reads this content.

Our cloud collects only the minimum data needed to operate the Service:

  • Account information: the email address, name, and credentials you provide when signing up (passwords are stored in hashed form).
  • Edge device registration: device identifier (EIN), device name, IP address, connection status, and firmware update records, used for device binding, connectivity, and OTA updates.
  • Usage records: basic logs required for account and device management.

Data we do not collect (all of it stays on your Edge Device):

  • Raw recordings and audio content
  • Transcripts, speaker information, meeting summaries, and reports
  • Action items

2. How We Use Data

  • To provide recording, speech-to-text, summarization, and action-item extraction (all executed locally on your Edge Device).
  • To manage your account and registered Edge Devices.
  • To diagnose issues, keep the Service stable, and improve quality.

We do not use your personal data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.

3. Storage and Processing

  • Recordings, transcripts, summaries, and action items are processed and stored locally on your Edge Device. When content travels between the app and your Edge Device, it passes through our relay service in real time only — we do not store or read it.
  • Our cloud stores only the data required for account authentication, device registration, and connection management.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

  • with your explicit consent;
  • when required by law, regulators, or legal process;
  • when necessary to protect the rights and safety of the Service, its users, or the public.

5. Your Rights

  • You can view, download, or delete your recordings and content in the app.
  • You can delete your account at any time; your cloud account data will be removed within 30 days of deletion. Content on your Edge Device is stored locally and remains under the device owner's control.
  • You can revoke microphone or notification permissions in system settings; dependent features will stop working.

6. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures, including access controls and data minimization, to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure — please keep your account and devices safe.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be announced in the app, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
